On the evening of 16th October 2025, Nottingham Central Library is hosting a chat between author Celeste Mohammed and Panya Banjoko about her latest book, Ever Since We Small. Its put together by Jacaranda Books in partnership with the library, kicking off at half past six in the atrium space right in the city centre. Tickets are a bargain at three pounds ninety six pence, and the whole thing wraps up around nine.

The novels a thoughtful dive into the often overlooked history of indentureship and the rich, tangled roots of Indo-Caribbean culture, giving a fresh spin on what shaped the Caribbean and its communities. If youre into stories that unpack hidden histories without getting too stuffy, this conversation should offer some intriguing insights, maybe even a chuckle or two at how the past keeps surprising us.
