Anda Union are hitting the Djanogly Theatre at Lakeside Arts in Nottingham on Wednesday 4 February 2026, from 7.30pm to 9.30pm. Tickets run 18 to 22 quid, so not bad for a trip to the steppes without the jet lag.

These Inner Mongolian lads from Hohhot have been at it for over 20 years, basically playing cultural lifeguard to the grasslands heritage before it fades out. Expect long haunting songs, throat singing that feels like its coming from your chest, and fiddles shaped like horse heads teamed with two-string lutes, flutes and percussion. The whole lot blends old nomadic echoes with a fresh edge, like youre hearing the wind over endless plains and a pony trot, minus the saddle sores.
