  • Bigger Little Playhouse for children aged 5 to 8 years – sessions give children an introduction to theatre, covering short drama games and exercises and exploring themes such as circus skills and physical theatre.
  • Youth Theatre is split into three age groups - 9 to 11 years, 11 to 13 years and 14 to 16 years.
  • Nottingham Playhouse also run Little Playhouse sessions for children aged 2 to 4 years – classes include music, movement, storytelling and sensory play.

  • Early Stages for children aged 4 to 6 – children will learn skills in singing, dancing and drama.
  • Main Stage classes for children aged 7 to 18 – classes are split into three age appropriate groups in which children and teens will learn singing, dancing and drama and develop their confidence and talent.

  • Tots Group for ages 5 to 8 – one hour class that includes dance, singing and drama.
  • Junior Classes for children aged 6 to 11 years – a two hour class covering singing, dancing, acting and movement in a rehearsal period that works towards an end of term production at a local theatre.
  • Senior classes for children aged 9 to 16 years – a three hour rehearsal period covering singing, acting and movement and working towards and end of term production at a local theatre.

  • Classes are split into three age groups – ages 4 to 8, 8 to 11 and 11 to 13 years.
  • Sprouts 4 to 8 years – classes use physical games to explore body, balance and coordination.
  • Sprouting Up 8 to 11 years – works along the same themes as Sprouts but takes the creative process a step further, including improvisation and choreographing their own dance.
  • Sprouted 11 – two hour classes that focus on creating and improvising, plus work on stage craft and script work.
