Canalhouse Comedy Night takes place at Canalhouse in Nottingham on selected Wednesdays at 7pm between August and December 2025. Upcoming autumn dates include 8 and 22 October, 5 and 26 November and 10 December.

It is a relaxed evening where established comics try out new material and newcomers find their feet, so expect polished gags, rough diamonds and the occasional experimental set that may or may not land. The night has been recognised at the Midlands Comedy Awards, including Best Small Club in 2018 and 2021, Best Open Mic Night in 2016 and Best East Midlands Open Mic Night in 2015. You might spot a future star or at least someone who becomes famous to their mum.
