Every Tuesday evening from 6pm, Axed at the Cornerhouse in Nottingham hosts something called The Midweek Social. It is exactly what it sounds like: a chance to throw axes at things on a Tuesday, which is probably the most interesting thing you will do all week. Tickets are 12 quid plus a booking fee, and you can grab them by clicking the BOOK NOW button above, assuming you are reading this online and not on a piece of paper someone handed you in the street.

For three hours you get unlimited axe throwing, which is a surprisingly long time to be throwing axes if you think about it. There is a multi lane high score tournament if you are feeling competitive, and ten percent off all drinks because you will probably need a drink after throwing axes for three hours. The whole thing is designed to help you meet like minded people, or at least people who also thought a Tuesday evening axe throwing social sounded like a good idea. It claims to be the only place in Nottingham on a Tuesday, which is either a bold boast or a worrying sign about the citys nightlife. The event runs every Tuesday from 23 June through to 1 September 2026, so you have plenty of chances to find out.
