Sherwood Forest Day with Ezekial Bone as Robin Hood

On Friday 20 February 2026, Ezekial Bone dons the tights as Robin Hood at the Robin Hood Statue in Nottingham for a bit of Sheriff's Proclamation at noon, complete with the tolling of the Little John Bells. Gather from 11.45 if you fancy hearing Sherwood Forest get its dues as a proper natural wonder, without any actual archery duels hopefully.

Afterwards, the crowd strolls down to Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem, England's oldest inn, for tunes, poetry, grub, ales, and a talk from Andy Gaunt of MercianArch with pictures. Expect chats on greening the city from Sarah Manton of Sherwood Peoples Forest and others still to be named. Its part of a bigger do with plaques popping up countywide. Space is tight in the Cave Room for just 30 folks, so lob a tenner donation via DM to Ezekial Bone to snag a spot, turning Major Hayman Rookes birthday into a yearly tradition while bringing a whiff of Sherwood to town.
