Paintballing For Kids At Sherwood Forest Activity Centre

by BecSorby (follow)
Paintballing is one of those activities that used to be reserved for grown men wanting to act like kids. Well, now it's time for the wannabe kids to move over and let the real kids have a go!

Sherwood Forest Activity Centre has teamed up with Skirmish Paintball Games to offer paintballing for kids aged 8 to 12 years and between 12 and 16 years. If they’ve never experienced the thrill of paintballing, this is a fantastic opportunity for children and tweens to have a go at this popular outdoor activity.

There are two options – Teen Scene Paintball, for kids aged 12 to 16 years, and Low Impact Paintball, designed for kids aged 8 to 12 years.

Teen Scene Paintball is a great way to introduce first-timers to paintballing. They will use adult guns but at a lower pressure than the adult game. Perhaps the best thing about the Teen Scene game (for teens, of course) is that adults aren’t allowed to play!

Each session lasts for a half day, meaning plenty of time to get the adrenaline pumping. There are various maps and game zones to choose from.

If you have younger children want to have a go, there is Low Impact Paintball. They will use Spyder Opus guns, which use a lower calibre of paintball and are run at a low pressure, meaning a significantly reduced impact on little bodies. The guns are also smaller and have lighter air tanks, and the session lasts for two hours.

Safety is paramount to any paintball experience. Each participant is covered from head to toe in coveralls, protective body armour and gloves. There are always experienced Skirmish staff on hand to help and keep everyone safe.

You can hold a paintballing birthday party at the centre, and catering can be arranged, although parents will need to provide the cake. Skirmish has a paintball package to suit every budget, meaning everyone can now have a go at this awesome outdoor activity.
