On Thursday 12 March 2026, the NTU Concert Band is putting on their Myths, Monsters and Magic show at University Hall in Nottingham, starting at 7.30 pm and wrapping up an hour later at 8.30 pm. Its basically a bunch of NTU students blasting out music while spinning yarns about ancient legends, grumpy beasts and dodgy spells, all without summoning any actual dragons to the stage.

If youre around Nottingham or up for a short drive, swing by for this light hearted romp through folklore that might just make you chuckle at how seriously people took unicorns back in the day. No wands required at the door.
