Ten years on and having toured more than 20 countries, returns with the same mix of sharp satire and strange tenderness. It follows Fred, a puppet trying to assert his independence now that his Puppetry Living Allowance is under threat. Think bureaucracy, disability rights and the question of what it means to be human, all served with dark humour and a few tender moments when the strings get confusing.

Created by award winning inclusive theatre company Hijinx, the cast includes performers with and without learning disabilities and/or autism, whose lived experience feeds into the show. This performance includes closed captioning and is part of the Nottingham Puppet Festival.
