Hi,
I've recently separated from the father of my two smallies, 1yr and nearly 3yrs.
He has had problems with drug / alcohol abuse in the past - fully functioning, evenings only, but obviously it'll stay in his system.

I am a bit worried about trusting him to be sober when he's looking after them, I'm afraid he will think it's ok to get high when they're asleep, but then they could wake and need him.

I'm not sure what to do. I don't really want to go down the solicitor route, unless that's the wisest thing to do?

If we make an agreement will he stick to it?
Do I make him do drug tests?

I'm worried that if I say this to their health visitor it'll set off alarm bells and social services would get involved.

I also don't want them growing up thinking substance abuse is cool.
