On Monday 27 October and Wednesday 29 October 2025, from 7pm to 8:30pm, you can join a at RSPB Sherwood Forest, which is just a short drive from Nottingham. Tickets cost 10 pounds for adults, 5 pounds for children, or 25 pounds for a family, with discounts if youre an RSPB member. Its a gentle stroll after dark through the legendary home of Robin Hood and his merry band, where the old oaks creak like theyre auditioning for a horror film.

As the sun dips and the wind rustles those ancient branches, the guide will spin yarns that might send a shiver down your spine, or at least make you glance over your shoulder a bit more often. Its suitable for all ages, but parents might want to keep an eye on the little ones since some tales could prove a tad too spooky for tender ears. Feel free to bring your dog along, as long as its on a lead and doesnt mind a few phantom howls.
