If you've got a toddler who treats every piece of furniture like a climbing wall and you're tired of peeling them off the bookshelf, here's a better option. Boulder Tots at the YMCA Village Climbing Centre is a gentle, slightly chaotic session where little ones aged 1 to 4 can scramble, balance, and bounce around under the watchful eye of a friendly coach. You get to stay right beside them for all the "look what I can do" moments, which means you can also pretend you're not out of breath. It's a 45 minute play session built around simple climbing games and themed activities, so the kids can crawl, jump, and explore at their own speed with zero pressure to keep up with anyone else.

The session runs every Tuesday, Friday, and Sunday from 10 April 2026, and for the 16th of June it's on as usual from 9am to 10am at the YMCA Village centre near Nottingham. That's 45 minutes of proper climbing fun with a coach who actually knows what they're doing, so you can relax a bit while your little one gets their wiggles out. No marketing nonsense, just a straightforward chance to let your mini adventurer try something new without them wrecking the living room.
