Peggy's Skylight in Nottingham hosts on Tuesday 23rd December 2025. Doors open at 7pm with the performance running from 8 to 10pm, interval included. Tickets go for eight to twelve quid.

This crew channels Chet Baker's vibe, that smooth trumpet and whispery, close-mic'd vocals from his classic Sings album. Chet crashed the party by nailing an audition with Charlie Parker, leaving Dizzy Gillespie and Miles Davis a bit miffed. Simon Paterson on vocals and bass, Thom Whitworth blowing trumpet, Paul Deats at the piano, and Stevie Smith on drums tackle Chet's favourites by Gershwin, Carmichael, Van Heusen, Rodgers and Hart, Kern, and the like. One punter raved after dragging mates along: completely blown away, lineup inspired the socks off us, timing and interpretations spot on from these skilful players, and they hope for repeats. Opens 7pm till 10pm.
