On Thursday, 14 November 2024, at 7:30 pm (doors open at 6:45 pm), Southwell Minster is hosting a little holiday treat called A Christmas Carol, courtesy of the Southwell Minster Chapterhouse Theatre Company. Tickets start at a mere £10, which is about the cost of a fancy coffee on Christmas Eve, but we think this will be a better return on your investment.

Join Ebenezer Scrooge on a whirlwind tour through time as he encounters a trio of rather pushy ghosts, all determined to snap him out of his Scrooge-y ways and into the festive spirit. Dickens' classic ghost story is not just a bit of dusty literature; it's a lively production filled with stunning vintage costumes, toe-tapping tunes, and an original score that might just get you to hum along (don't worry, we won't judge). This beloved tale has sold out both times it's come around here, so if you want to see Scrooge's heart thaw out and catch him getting into the festive cheer, you might want to scoop up those tickets before they disappear quicker than you can say "Bah, Humbug."
