If you’re ever looking for somewhere fun and interesting to take your little one to on a Tuesday, you’ve come to the right place! We’ve put together a list of regular groups and activities around Nottingham on a Tuesday, and best of all… they’re free (or very low cost!) Library sessions
Libraries host a variety of lovely, free term-time sessions, including singing and music-making sessions on Tuesdays at the following libraries:

Surestart
Local Surestart centres provide an array of activities for under 5s, and most activities are free to local residents. Check out your local centre's Facebook Page or website for the latest What's On Guide.

Stonebridge city farm
Ok, not just for Tuesdays, but free to the public every day of the week!
This lovely, volunteer-run farm is a registered charity and was started by local residents 40 years ago. It has a number of animals big and small, gardens and polytunnels where they grow fruit and veg, a nature walk and amenities such as the café, shop and play area.

Alphabet House free stay & play
This nursery offers the chance for babies and toddlers (and mums!) to get together on a Tuesday morning for various activities including sensory and messy play and, in nice weather, a play on the fantastic outdoor equipment. It’s free to pop along, even if your child doesn’t attend the nursery.

A great, free session for energetic tots, with lots of toys, activities and space to roam around!

Splash tots (formerly Parent & Toddler)
Suitable from birth, this relaxed session (held on Tuesdays, plus a couple of other weekdays) aims to get children feeling comfortable in the water with their parents in a safe, play-based environment. The small pool at Carlton Forum is lovely and warm, you can pretend you’re at a spa (except you’re getting splashed by your toddler)!
This activity does cost £5.50 per person, however it’s great value for swimming (and even cheaper with a Gedling Leisure Card).

Robin Hood Gymnastics pre-school drop in sessions
These relaxed sessions aren’t just on Tuesdays (they’re run six days a week), however they’re so good, they make the list! It’s pay as you go for a fantastic price of £3.50 (top tip – get your loyalty card stamped every visit and get your 10th session free!)
