Professor Paul Temple is gracing Rufford Country Park with his Punch and Judy show this summer. If you fancy a dose of traditional puppet based shenanigans, but with a contemporary sprinkle, you can catch him every Tuesday from 22 July through to 26 August 2025. The best part is it won't cost a thing. Yes, admission is completely free. Perhaps Mr Punch has finally invested in some anger management sessions, or maybe the crocodile has a new diet plan.

You will find the puppet theatre on the lawn, helpfully situated near the Abbey Kitchen Restaurant, which might be handy for a restorative cuppa afterwards. Shows are scheduled for 12 noon, 1:30pm and 3:00pm on each of those Tuesdays. It is a timeless bit of fun that should appeal to both the younger audience and anyone feeling a bit nostalgic for some good old fashioned theatrical chaos.
