On Monday 22 December 2025, the Down for the Count Orchestra bring their Swing Into Christmas to Nottingham's Royal Concert Hall, kicking off at 7pm and wrapping up around 9.45pm, with doors opening from 6pm. Tickets start at £28.50 and go up to £44.50, so you can swing by without breaking the bank.

This 30-piece big band with strings, formed back in 2005 and led by conductor Mike Paul-Smith, packs in some of the UK's finest vocalists and players, which explains why they're one of the biggest swing outfits on the road. They'll mix up fresh takes on Christmas tunes and other classics with their usual cheeky charm, a yearly ritual that's somehow become tradition for folks who fancy a bit of festive jazz without the turkey overdose.
