Runs Tuesday 26 to Saturday 30 May 2026 at Nottingham Playhouse. The story follows P.T. Barnum and his wife Charity as he schemes, dreams and wildly improvises his way through showbusiness and life. Lee Mead, who found fame on Any Dream Will Do and has since turned up in Joseph, Wicked and Legally Blonde, plays Barnum and even has a tightrope moment to live up to theatrical folklore.
Directed by Jonathan O'Boyle and choreographed by Oti Mabuse, the production includes a company of more than 20 actor musicians, acrobats and assorted circus acts, so expect music, pratfalls and people hanging off things. Evening performances are at 7.30pm with matinees at 2.30pm on Wednesday and Saturday. Tickets from £17.50 to £62.50.
