On Friday 27 March 2026, the NTU Chamber Choir is putting on at University Hall in Nottingham, kicking off at 7.30 pm and wrapping up around 8.30 pm. Tickets are a straightforward 5 to 10 quid. Expect some toe-tapping choral jazz from the choir, backed by a live student jazz band that probably knows how to keep things swinging without spilling their coffee.

The setlist mixes classic jazz standards from Billie Holiday, Neal Hefti, and Kenny Wheeler with lively tunes from Brazilian and South American traditions. You will hear the Buena Vista Social Club's Chan Chan, plus rhythmic bits by Nelson Angelo, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Quarteto em Cy, and others that might just have you humming along or nodding off in a pleasantly jazzy daze.
